On 17 February 2021, Our Heavenly Father opened the gates of Heaven for our beloved Leo S. Vargas, 77. Leo was an honorable man and well known and respected among the community of Ft Worth, TX. As a young man, he served his country honorably as a Marine during the Vietnam war. He had a passion for singing and never missed an opportunity at Family gatherings to mesmerize everyone with his incredible voice. He loved his Mariachi music and singing songs from Juan Gabriel and Rosio Durcal. His favorite song was “Yo Sigo Siendo El Rey.” He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Many admired him for his huge heart. If someone needed a helping hand or advice he was there! His memory will live on for eternity. He entered the gates of Heaven singing to his wife, children, family and friends with a huge smile and knowing, he will always be our “Rey!” Preceded in death by his children, Juan Carlos Vargas and Blanca Vargas. He is survived by his wife Maria Rita Vargas and children: Daughters: Norma Inabinet, Patricia Moore, Selena Fabila, Collette Martinez , Edzna Ybarra ; María Jasso , Julia Huerta Sons : Miguel Vargas ,Carlos Gonzales , Carlos Jasso , Rubén Martinez ,Reinaldo Vargas , Eduardo Huerta .He is also survived by 2 loving sisters, 17 amazing grandchildren.
